TOP TEN CHRISTIAN BIOGRAPHIES

I’ve been asked—more than once—what are some of my favorite Christian biographies and autobiographies. That’s a hard one to answer! In fact, it might be considered almost foolish to come up with such an artificial list. But here is a feeble shot at what I would consider ten of the most valuable Christian heroes to be acquainted with at a very minimum:

1) Billy Graham: His Life and Influence, by David Aikman
2) A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael, by Elisabeth Elliot
3) Here I Stand: A Life of Martin Luther, by Roland H. Bainton
4) Through Gates of Splendor, by Elisabeth Elliot
5) George Muller: The Guardian of Bristol’s Orphans, by Janet and Geoff Benge
6) Born Again, by Chuck W. Colson
7) King of The Cannibals: The Story of John G. Paton, Missionary to The Hebrides, by Jim Cromarty
8) Jonathan Edwards: A New Biography, by Iain H. Murray
9) Lottie Moon: Giving Her All for China, by Janet and Geoff Benge
10) Spiritual Secret of Hudson Taylor, by Dr. and Mrs. Howard Taylor
