There is a poem I wrote a couple of decades ago, entitled Burn for You (poem posted at the end of this blog). It is a prayer of pleading and aspiration to be on holy fire for God, refined for…
Although You really love us, You really, really, really hate sin. Help us not to take our sin lightly, for those You love You will discipline for their persistent sinfulness, for You are a holy God.
Your grace does not negate Your holiness. Help us to take Your holiness as seriously as You do, applying it to our own lives in thought and word and deed.
Your word says that no unmerited curse will ever stick to Your people. Give us courage in the face of those who curse us, knowing that You will defend us.
