The temptation is to want a crystal ball. That’s what it can often feel like when we are faced with a decision or circumstance where we don’t know what to do. Such times confront us with our humanness, our limitations….
Heighten our discernment for those subtle deceptions that surround us–those slippery slope beliefs or outright falsehoods that we might swallow because they are coated with a layer of truth.
“Those who know Your name will trust in You” (Psalm 9:10). If there is an area where we are having difficulty with trusting in You, show us what we need to know about You that we are missing.
Move us to spend more time “considering.” So often we just react, or act according to habit, or do what is easy. Teach us the value of pondering, reflecting, and considering.
