Who Taught You Everything You Know?
“Jesus is the greatest disciple maker in history, and his way works. Discipleship is the emphasis. Relationships are the method. Jesus invited people into relationships with himself; he loved them and in the process showed them how to follow God. His primary method was life-on-life.”
— Robert Coleman, Disciplemaking Shift
It is a good time this summer to look at Jesus’ life through the gospels in Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John and look at how He made disciples that make disciples. Jesus’ life is the greatest example of relational disciplemaking.
If we all lived our lives studying the life of Jesus and surrendering ourselves to the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives everyday, this world we live in would be a very different place. Jesus gives us life through His blood and frees us up from the bondage of sin and to live lives that overflow love, grace, mercy, compassion, service into the people around us. Let us live as a church overflowing the love of Jesus into the world around us to raise His name high.
I would challenge you to find a couple friends and/or family members and study the life of Jesus together. Then let Jesus overflow out of your life through acts of love and service.
